News for Today

The faculty versus students basketball game is this Thursday.  Business club will be selling pizza, hot dogs, chips, candy, and drinks. Tell your parents and plan to have dinner while cheering for your Haines staff and students.

January FUEL time! Come on down to the cafeteria. This week we will be featuring a spicy popcorn chicken bowl with mash potatoes, country gravy and cheddar cheese. Love at first bite!

Would you like the opportunity to take part in creating technology that’s changing our world?  Would you like to learn to code?  Join the Haines Coding Club!  The first meeting is Tuesday, January 24th at 3:30 in the LRC computer lab.  Pick up a permission form in the LRC.

Hey Haines, Stay after school Thursday to watch the 15th Annual Faculty vs 8th grade basketball teams basketball game.  There will be two games, the 8th grade girls will play the faculty in the first game and the the 8th grade boys will play in the second game against the faculty.  Come and enjoy the game and watch your teachers play some hoops.

Rocket club is getting into drones.  We will be meeting for the first time January 24th after school.  Stop by to see Mr. Finn in room 131 if you are interested.  We will be flying in the cafeteria.

Hey did you know that Cinnamon is the inner bark of cinnamon trees or that Cinnamon is a spice which can be used on savory or sweet foods?Get inspired to create your favorite cinnamon dish and show off your culinary talent this year at our 9th annual middle school culinary competition.

7th and 8th Graders, Do you want to be the next Middle School Top Chef?  Bring your BEST Cinnamon containing recipe and 10 samples to share at our Haines Middle School Top Chef competition meeting on Thursday, January 26th from 3:30-4:30 in the foods lab.  Any Questions?????
